Program Cancellation & Refund Policy


Refund policy: At the discretion of the Director, refunds for recreational programs will be considered up to one week prior to the start of the program. If granted, all refunds must be processed through the New Britain Finance Department, via city-issued check. Refunds processed through the Finance Department take a minimum of two weeks to process. Refunds of payment made by credit or debit card take 1-3 business days to process and funds will be returned directly to the card used for original payment. There will be no refunds issued for any picnic or pavilion rental.

Program Cancellation Information: Programs may be cancelled for many reasons including insufficient registration, inclement weather, etc. The Director has discretionary authority to refund program and facility fees (up to but not exceeding $250, unless authorized by the Parks and Recreation Commission).
