Downtown Players Theatre Camp 2026 - Downtown Players Theater Camp- Week 1 CAMP DESCRIPTIONThe Downtown Players (DTP) Youth Theatre Camp offers youth ages 7-15 an opportunity to experience the performing arts through script reading, acting, singing, and set and costume development in a 7-week summer day camp. The program builds on learning the script and music, culminating in a live theater performance at the Walnut Hill Park music shell for families of campers and the community. The performance is a junior production of a Broadway-style musical, adapted for young performers – this summer campers will perform in High School Musical Jr. Lead roles are considered for campers who are enrolled all summer. The camp day also features breakfast and lunch through the USDA Summer Food Program, and sprinkler time each day to cool off. On Fridays, camp will be held at Willow Brook Park. The program builds on learning the script and music, culminating in a live theater performance at the Walnut Hill Park music shell for families of campers and the community. The performance is a junior production of a Broadway-style musical, adapted for young performers – this summer campers will perform in High School Musical Jr. Lead roles are considered for campers who are enrolled all summer. The camp day also features breakfast and lunch through the USDA Summer Food Program, and sprinkler time each day to cool off. On Fridays, camp will be held at Willow Brook Park.
