UNTANGLE THE LIGHTS, PULL OUT THE INFLATABLES AND START DECORATING! All city residents are invited to register your house into the Merry and Bright" holiday house competition with the New Britain Recreation and Community Services Department.
Registration deadline is Saturday, December 13th.
The Merry and Bright Holiday House Decorating judging will go from Monday, December 15th to Thursday, December 18th, if you are registered please be sure to turn your lights on by 5pm that week. House owners are encouraged to register themselves to see if they qualify as a finalist.
For judging purposes, you will see one of the event helpers stopping at your house to photograph your outdoor decorations in order to determine the winners. Winners will be notified on December 19th if they win.
Winning categories include: Best Overall, Classic Holiday, Most Creative, Best Holiday Spirit and “Rita Giancola Award”.
