Participants must attend all classes. This class is being provided at a discounted rate to give easier access towards applying with our department. Participants will be tested on their swimming abilities and their knowledge of lifeguarding skills, some examples of what will be tested: Brick Retrieval from deep water, 21+ laps under 20mins into treading water without use of arms for 2+ minutes, and standard lifeguard rescue techniques. All skills will be practiced and repeated before final test, we recommend individuals come in with some or all of the above skills practiced beforehand.
